It takes energy, passion, inspiration and the enthusiastic labor of over a hundred people to present each opera. This enormous team effort includes a music director, singers, instrumentalists, stage directors, designers, community leaders, patrons and hundreds of volunteers. It is as grand an effort to sustain opera as it is a grand experience.
Livermore Valley Opera (LVO) enters our 25th Season with appreciation to all of you who have made this possible over the years, and we ask you now, in this critical time when the arts are being cut from national, state and school budgets, to take a stand with us to preserve this singular, exceptional art form that expresses the entire range of human emotion in a collaborative tour de force. Ticket prices only cover a small portion of the cost to mount a high-caliber opera, and LVO is committed to continually raising the bar, and providing a platform for the very best emerging talent from the San Francisco Bay area and beyond.
