The History of Livermore Valley Opera
The history of Livermore Valley Opera (LVOpera) goes back to its founding in 1992, when the opera-loving community produced operas presented at Livermore High School. When the Bankhead Theater opened in 2007 with La Bohème, LVOpera began its transition to the world-class professional opera company that it is today. LVOpera produces two magnificent fully-staged operas each season, and all performances are held at the Bankhead Theater located in Livermore, in the heart of the Tri-Valley region. The Bankhead Theater features excellent lines of sight and acoustics, helping to attract talented singers and stage directors. LVOpera combines the talents of professional musicians, stage directors, principal singers, and designers to achieve the highest level of artistic excellence..
Livermore Valley Opera is a 501(c)3 non-profit charitable organization.
