What is the value of investing in a premier performing arts company within our Tri-Valley region? In a time when schools are cutting arts education and the expense of travel, parking and admission to San Francisco performing arts is prohibitive to many, the Livermore Valley Opera provides the benefits of access to affordable excellence and a more intimate cultural experience. The Corporate Council is a select group of organizations committed to keeping the arts alive by providing a vital link to performing arts in our community.
Since its founding in 1992, the Livermore Valley Opera has sustained a passion for outstanding music and the performing arts. The Opera has achieved continuing recognition as a dynamic company dedicated to performances of the highest artistic interpretation. The Opera draws from the talent of local and regional artists, including the San Francisco Opera Merola Alumni and Adler Fellows, and also brings in outstanding directors and performers from outside the San Francisco Bay Area. Housed in the Bankhead Theater in Livermore, the Livermore Valley Opera is easily accessible, offers free parking, and is developing new family and community educational outreach programs to foster understanding and appreciation of opera. Opera is that unique tour de force of the performing arts family, representing a synthesis of orchestral music, theater, dance and vocal music in an art form that is at once cultural, artistic, historical and entertaining.
In order to continue to bring fine opera performances to our community, we count on the philanthropy of corporations such as yours. Corporate Council members will benefit from being local champions, from their association with artistic excellence, from fostering new talent, and from supporting culture for future generations. We look forward to your participation. It is more important than ever to take a stand for preserving high caliber performing arts in our community.
