School Outreach Program
LVO Takes Opera To The Classrooms
Last year, Livermore Valley Opera visited over 8,000 students at fifteen different Tri Valley area schools. This spring we are continuing our school outreach efforts with multiple interactive educational assembly programs at the elementary, middle, and high school levels. In addition, we continue to invite master teachers and principal artists from our main stage productions to work with area high school and college choruses.
Our continued outreach goal is to enrich the lives of as many students as we can each year, especially those attending schools in predominantly underprivileged communities.
If you are interested in sponsoring or contributing to the vital resources that make our school programs possible, please contact Revital Shmerling.
Student Rush Policy
LVO is pleased to offer a Student Rush Policy to students in middle school through college. Tickets may be purchased for as low as $10, no earlier than two hours before the curtain time of each performance. Students must show an ID, college students their college ID, and tickets must be purchased in person by the student at the box office. No internet or phone sales available. Bring a friend! The opera is always better with friends! Take a chance to make a memory. Nobody ever forgets their first opera.
Want to get involved?
You can host an opera event, whether you are a business or just an arts lover. I want to partner with LVO.
A master class was given by Lacy Sauter (Countess in The Marriage of Figaro) for Ian Brekke’s voice class at Las Positas College on March 1, 2017. Lacy performed and coached two students: Daniel Le and Sophie Michelle Clarke. Jessica Igarashi was the class accompanist in the photos.
